Beginning in 2002, Everest Residential has acquired interests in 46 multifamily properties located throughout the United States, 28 of which remain in the Everest portfolio today. Everest Residential focuses on attractive opportunities in select markets, acquiring stable multifamily properties in major metropolitan markets and submarkets throughout the United States. Our team of experienced asset managers focuses on the Everest portfolio, enhancing property values through capital improvements, expense control and resident retention, while employing third-party property managers with expertise in each of the local submarkets. Everest believes this approach is key in the management of our diversified mix of stable, performing multifamily assets, with occupancy averaging in the mid to high 90% range.
Everest Storage is the self-storage affiliate of Everest. Since 1998, Everest Storage has focused on acquiring and developing self-storage properties, using the expertise of its principals, who have more than 25 years experience in the self-storage industry, including senior positions with Public Storage, Inc. Everest Storage has built or acquired interests in 12 self-storage properties and currently manages 8 such properties in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Florida and Toronto, Canada. Everest has also successfully managed office and industrial properties, and currently is the owner and asset manager of retail centers in the Mid-West.
